StarCraft is an engaging strategy game in which players have to gather resources, expand their forces, build armies, and control any of the three different, but similar in power, species (Terran, Zerg and Protoss) in order to achieve victory and bring peace throughout the Koprulu Sector, at the beginning of 26th century.

The storyline is just one of many good things about StarCraft
StarCraft’s storyline revolves around the fact that Terran government has maintained a fragile peace, and, as resources become more and more scarce, they start to look towards the world of their alien neighbors, Protoss.
The commonly thought dead species, Zerg, enters Protoss’ space and unleashes mayhem, destroying everything in their path, so action must be taken immediately in order for peace to be once more reinstated.
Single player mode offers an entertaining experience, but the multiplayer mode takes things to a whole new level by delivering more action packed battles
You can play the game across three different campaigns, with 30 missions that will put your strategy skills to the ultimate test.
Despite its well-written story and satisfying single player mode, StarCraft really became a legend due to its epic multiplayer mode, in which you can play with 7 other players over a local network or via Blizzard's Battle.net.
The graphics are nice for a game of its age, unit movements are smooth and so are the controls, the sounds are basic, but the thing where StarCraft really shines is the way it is played.
Easy to play, difficult to master, the gameplay of this apparently simple RTS title is still the best part about it
Learning to play the game is very easy indeed, but learning to play it good, that’s a whole different matter. StarCraft is one of the few games in which strategy still beats everything, and despite being easy to learn, it is impossible to fully master, as many of the world’s best players have proved by dedicating years of their lives for achieving success playing this game. What StarCraft was, is a bit hard to put into words, but one thing is sure, it is without doubt one of the most legendary and hardcore strategy games ever created, and, despite the fact that newer versions came along to take things further with improvements on all levels, but for a lot of RTS gamers out there, it still remains THE GAME.
